For the 26th successive year, Spinal Research are hosting their annual Northern Raceday at Wetherby Racecourse’s Opening Meeting of the 2016/17 jump season, Wednesday 12th October.
Spinal Research is the UK’s leading charity funding medical research around the world to develop reliable treatments for paralysis caused by a broken back or neck. Every year more than 800 people in the UK and Ireland are paralysed following an injury to their spinal cord, many of these injuries are sustained through racing or riding accidents.
Spinal Research raises money to fund research into clinical treatments as well as vital basic science research. Thanks to such pioneering research we stand on the brink of applying therapies that will restore movement and feeling and transform the lives of paralysed people and look forward to the day when paralysis can be treated.
We have all of our usual Restaurants and Hospitality areas available on the day, but there is also the opportunity for racegoers to support Spinal Research by joining them in their exclusive Hospitality Marquee, which includes a drinks reception, three-course luncheon and raffle.
