Local Resident Offers

Wetherby Town has a long history and connection with horses and horseracing. During the 18th & 19th Century, Wetherby was the premier Coaching Stop on the Great North Road, and the town accommodated travellers and stabled horses travelling North and South.  Racing was established in the 1800’s in Wetherby and many racehorses were stabled and trained within Wetherby itself.  The town even had it’s own Racecourse Train Station, delivering tens of thousands of racegoers to the Easter Race meets.

We are proud of our heritage and want to continue to engage with our local community and encourage them to support their local Racecourse.  We therefore provide offers throughout the season for those who reside within an 8km radius of the Racecourse.

We manage this through our online ticketing system, which searches our racegoer contact information and finds all those that meet the 8km criteria through their postal address.  We then assign these racegoers with Local Resident Status, and the discounted tickets are automatically available to purchase.
