Stay in the Saddle with Wetherby Racecourse

Map of Wetherby Racecourse, showing the layout. A left-handed oval track, approximately 1 mile 7 furlongs and 36 yards in distance, featuring a turf track. There are six fences on the back straight and three fences on the front straight. The starting post is on the back straight, and the finish line is on the home straight. Grandstands are located on the inside of the track, offering views of the final furlong. The Car park, parade ring, stables, and paddock areas are also visible.

Our Owners & Trainers Entrance isn’t located at the main turnstiles!

Instead, we have a dedicated entry and car park  just for you.  You’ll find it conveniently positioned between the stables and pre-parade & Saddling ring. Just follow the signage for the Owners Car Park ‘D’ on the day

The Car Park offers spaces for blue badge holders, or alternatively you are able to drop off right outside the Entrance for added convenience.

Our Owners & Trainers Desk is run by the excellent Rachel Blizzard & Elissa Cummins, who will be happy to assist with any queries you may have on the day.

for reference, key locations from the Owners Entrance are:

  • 10 metres  to the Pre-Parade & Saddling Stalls
  • 75 metres to the Parade Ring
  • 200 metres to the Owners Suite

For those with accessibility requirements, we offer a golf buggy shuttle to help you into the enclosures – just speak to our team on arrival if you’d like a lift.

IMPORTANT TRAFFIC UPDATE – OCT 25

Due to the development on Racecourse Approach (between Racecourse and J46 A1(M), there is a contraflow in operation, and there is also a contraflow on York Road, between the Racecourse and Wetherby Town.  Please allow a little additional time for your journey.
