Wetherby Racecourse is located approximately 15 miles centrally between York, Harrogate and Leeds.
We are situated on the B1224 just minutes from Junction 46 of the A1(M) (Wetherby Services). Our postcode for your SATNAV is LS22 5EJ.
Free Coach and car parking is available on the Racecourse grounds, directional parking signage is displayed and parking attendants are on hand to assist you. Parking is predominantly on grass.
There is disabled persons parking located within 200 metres of the main entrance. Please display a disabled persons parking permit for our attendants to see.
CARS TO COURSE – Racegoers can also pay to park within our Centre of Course enclosure. Our ‘Cars to Course’ admission allows one car and up to 4 adults entry.
Gates open between 2 and 2.5 hours prior to the first race and on Feature Plus racedays we advise that racegoers arrive as early as they can to avoid busy traffic.
Wetherby unfortunately does not have a train station. The nearest large stations are Harrogate, York and Leeds, all between 12-15 miles from the Racecourse.

The Racecourse is situated some 1.7miles from Wetherby Town Centre and approximately a 35 minute walk. There is no footpath on the main York Road but there is a public footpath that runs via Hallfield Lane.
On Feature and Feature Plus Racedays, the Racecourse operate a complimentary shuttle bus service between Wetherby Town Centre and the Racecourse. The Bus is operated by Connexions, and picks up and drops off from the ‘Bus Station’ in Wetherby Town Centre.

Light aircraft can land at the Yorkshire Gliding Club, Rufforth (01904 738 694), approximately 5 miles from the Racecourse. Fuel facilities and overnight parking are available at the club. Please call the Yorkshire Gliding Club at least one day in advance to arrange arrival times.
