FAQ

REFUNDS – ON THE DAY SALES (e.g . those paying by card via the turnstiles on the day of racing)

As a racecourse which operates throughout the Winter months, Wetherby fully appreciates the risk that the weather can occasionally pose to a race meeting. Therefore, the company believes it is fair to everybody concerned, that, with respect to charges, a clear abandonment policy is adopted. The Wetherby Steeplechase Committee Limited abandonment charges policy in relation to daily sales of general admission purchases as follows:

  • Abandonment before completion of the 1st race – 100% refund
  • Abandonment before completion of the 3rd race – 50% refund
  • Abandonment thereafter the 3rd race – No refund

In the event of abandonment, no refunds will be issued on the day. A message will be posted on the day on our website with full refund information for those who have purchased on the day.

REFUND – ADVANCE SALES – General Admission advance bookings made directly via wetherbyracing.co.uk of Premier, Paddock and Course Enclosure including Premier Plus and White Rose Packages.

  • Abandonment before completion of the 1st race – 100% credit with option of refund
  • Abandonment before completion of the 3rd race – 50% credit
  • Abandonment thereafter the 3rd race – No refund

Please note that the refund policy may be amended dependent on abandonment circumstances. In this instance, we will place the relevant refund information on the website immediately following the abandonment and we will contact all pre-purchasers with specific abandonment information. Otherwise the general policy for full abandonment is to be adhered to as follows:

Within 48hrs of the raceday, advance purchasers will receive an email notifying them that their admissions have been cancelled and credit for the total value of their order put on their account, which will remain valid for use in full or part-payment of future admissions or packages within a period of 12 months.  Information will also be provided to users regarding application for a refund should that be preferred.

You do not need to return any tickets to us UNLESS you have purchased packages which include monetary value vouchers. i.e. Tote Betting Vouchers and/or Refreshment or Drinks Vouchers. In this instance you must return your packages to us in order to receive a full refund. Please return packages to us at the following address: Ticket Office, Wetherby Steeplechase Committee Ltd, The Racecourse, York Road, Wetherby, LS22 5EJ. We would recommend a signed for or registered post service for returning high value orders to us.

REFUNDS – HOSPITALITY – Private Suite and Dine & View Packages

Special abandonment conditions are applied for purchases of Private Suite and Dine and View packages. This will be detailed to you at the time of booking.

Refunds and/or transfers for these packages will be dealt with individually by the Hospitality department and a member of the Hospitality team will contact you directly to discuss.

‘CARS TO COURSE’

Our ‘Cars to Course’ admission allows one car and up to 4 adults entry to the Course enclosure.  #

If you have pre-purchased Cars to Course Admission please check the map before arrival to ensure you know where you are heading.  The Course Enclosure is situated in the middle of the Racetrack itself, and so when you come in via the main York Road Entrance, you need to turn LEFT at the top of the hill following directional signage. Everyone else will be going straight on, so it can be easy on a busy day to simply ‘follow the crowd’.

Please be advised that our admission turnstiles no longer accept cash and admission on the day is now by card-payment only.

Cash is accepted in all other areas of the Racecourse, but we encourage you to use card and contactless payment throughout where possible.

There are cash machine facilities within the Bramham Hall and Level 2 foyer of the Millennium Stand.

There is no cash machine facility within the course enclosure.
